Got a Minute...

From the Fall 2001 issue of Hopes & Dreams, newsletter of the Illinois Chapter, Huntington's Disease Society of America.

HDSA is here to serve everyone as much as we can.   The society is dedicated to promoting and supporting research aimed at finding an effective treatment or cure for Huntington's Disease; helping people cope with the problems presented by the disease; and educating professionals and the public about HD.

If you are someone out there that wants to help the Illinois Chapter and HD as a whole but feel that we only want your help if you can come to Northlake once a month for a Board Meeting, that is so not true.   If you have any amount of time, whenever is convenient for you, we can find you something to do.

You can help the Chapter and not even leave the comfort of your own home. All you need to do to volunteer is let us know and we will find a way to use whatever amount of time you have doing SOMETHING that will help the Illinois Chapter.   We need people to volunteer to be on various fundraising committees such as the Annual Conference and Brunch, helping us get the word out about HD to the public and professional sector of Illinois, affixing labels onto flyers for mailings, etc.   Just call us...WE NEED YOU!
