First Annual Golf Outing is an Ace!

From the Fall 2002 issue of Hopes & Dreams, newsletter of the Illinois Chapter, Huntington's Disease Society of America.

The Illinois Chapters first ever Golf Outing proved to be a very popular event. As the threat of rain turned to a bright sunny day eager golfers took their turns teeing off with hopes of driving off in a brand spanking new car! The hole-in-one car, donated by Anthony Pontiac, was just one of the great prizes available to lucky golfers. Prizes went to those with the lowest score, longest drive and closest to the hole shot among others.

Along with great weather and good golf the players also enjoyed box lunches, unlimited use of the range and complimentary drinks.
After the great rounds of golf more camaraderie followed with a raffle prize drawing more delicious food, not to mention some well deserved bragging.

Unfortunately, the hole-in-one car remained unclaimed this year. Fortunately next years outing will take place on Aug 3, 2003 so you can come out and take your shot at it then. See you there.
