I mentioned that I was able to do some Internet searching for info on thalidomide. We're hoping, of course, that the next MRI shows that the tumor has shrunk (or at least stopped growing). However, if it doesn't I'd like to have some ideas on what we could try next.

I think I had told you earlier that a friend from work gave me an article which indicated some spectacular results with thalidomide and I had asked Paul's oncologist about it. He said he would be willing to consider it if I can find out some more information. I found a site that has articles on thalidomide, and 3 of them seem to be pertinent.

The first one is an abstract from the Proceedings of the Annual Meeting of the Society of Clinical Oncology, 1997;16:A1372, in case any of you have access to the journal and want to look at the article. I haven't had a chance yet to see if we get the journal, but I plan to do so. That abstract also appears in the National Cancer Institute's Cancerlit Bibliographic Database.

Yesterday I just happened to see the latest issue of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute (there was a problem with the record so the person checking it in was asking me what to do.) I noticed an article on angiogenesis, so I photocopied it. Haven't had a chance to read it yet, but that's on my list of things to do on the way to work today.
